Always Have a Destination

I've been told you should always have a destination anytime you enter a mode of transportation. That sounds like good advice to me. Sometimes you might get in your car just for a drive, but even then the road is your destination. You know where you're headed and you probably know you'll end up back home. Your destination is your goal, your finish line.
Therefore, we will take a moment to look at our current mode of transportation. So, this train we're all on, where is it going? Now, we might want to take a look at how fast we are going, and what does the way forward look like from point A to point B. See, if you travel too fast without looking at the track ahead, it's possible to overshoot your target. If the terrain calls for it you may need to slow down or speed up.
In the case of humanity and it's ultimate goal of unity, or atleast coexistance, there's a little nuance neccesary. We actually don't want to get there too fast. You see, this is a leisurely trip. One you should enjoy. There's things to see along the way, people to meet, culture to experience. But there is purpose, and it really, really matters. You see everything we do, every brick we lay, every law we enact, every person we impact, they help lay the foundation for everything that comes after. Our futures, the next generation's futures.
This train needs to maintain a steady speed in that regard. Forward movement, at a steady pace. Our government obviously plays a role in how we get there, at least in influence and more importantly what is deemed acceptable, or unacceptable. But it definitely is not the end all be all, and it surely will not do the work for us. The people are the ones that control this trip. On this train there are much smaller modes of transportation, lots of them. We know these vehicles as the human body.
It's good and worthwhile to ponder and plan where this vehicle is taking you. Where would you like to end up? Now notice, neither me nor the conductor of this train Jesus are telling you where to go. But, Jesus does have directions on how to get to heaven someday, if you'd like to see the other place God created for us. I'm not in a hurry or anything. However, I am pretty excited to see what God has planned for us. It's the ultimate surprise really.
So, until our vehicles take us to our destination, I'd like to inspire as many people as possible to help manifest a little piece of heaven right here on this train. Planet Earth for those that are confused. Now, I'm quite certain no one will want to commit crime, no one will be needlessly wealthy, there will be no suffering, and everyone will be happy at the blessings and gifts we receive (not just our own, but genuinely happy for everyone else's too).
Can you imagine a society like that? It's hard isn't it? We'll get there someday, I'm just not sure what it will actually look like. I think we should all try. Let's see if we can build a little heaven right here a day at a time. Seriously, the government is not going to do it, they are just shaping and defining the rules we operate in to make it happen. We really have to start making changes and it's definitely going to start with us as individuals, families, and communities. Don't worry there's no rush, but we do have to keep moving forward.
One light year (or a day if you prefer a shorter distance) at a time. The same as always.
