Look, nobody's perfect. We make mistakes, all of us. There will surely come a time when you ask yourself "Am I doing the right thing?". The answer to this is quite easy, if you'll allow me to explain. You see, as long as you're acting in good faith, there is room for error. The judgement of your peers? Not important. The repercussions you'll have to accept? All part of being an accountable human. Par for the course you see. We mustn't live in fear. This includes fear of judgement, fear of consequences, fear of the unknown, and fear of persecution. Your heart will guide you. But please, remember to make room for what's in your heart first. Don't let things like hate, greed, or pride drive your decisions. Sometimes we are quite sure what it is we are after. Other times things feel a little shaky. It's perfectly normal to question an important decision. Especially ones that can lead to heavy consequences. Welcome to the human experience. Now, we should, as a rule, be sure that we are prepared to accept responsibility for our actions. Most often you will be the one to feel the brunt of your decisions. Ask yourself ahead of time, or before acting. Am I prepared to stand by my choice? This is where faith can be your saving grace. Acting in faith, if you can find it, is a valuable tool always at your disposal. Don't waste it. You can't change some things, others you can walk back. And that's ok. Walk it back if you have to. You're allowed. It is your indomitable right. Don't let anyone tell you different. Let's try something for a moment. Close your eyes and ask yourself "Who's desires guide my heart?". Is it your own? Are they worthy, realistic desires? Now remember, you ARE capable of incredible things. Don't be afraid to chase that dream. Success and failure in a given situation are side by side, there is no dividing line. Taking responsibility for your choices, your mistakes, is as much a success as it is a failure. If you learn from yourself, and allow your true, inner most desires to manifest, you will never regret what it took to get there. You see, the Lord has a way of squeezing those other unimportant things out of you so he can give you what he wants you to have. And what He wants for us is our inner most wishes. Did you know that? However, many of us don't actually know what that is. But, if you follow this advice He will help you see what it is. Your desires and wishes may need to be realigned. Because guess what? We often try to identify what it is we wish for only to find it was slightly different than we expected, and He will absolutely show you something better than you imagined. He is our higher power after all. Now when I said the Lord has a way of squeezing things out of us I meant it. It very often requires a leap of faith. And we don't often see the results right away. There will be a struggle. It can sting a little, it has to. Trust me when I tell you that it's because God likes to go for impact. He wants you really excited at the end of your pursuit. He wants you to weep tears of joy. But in the grand scheme of things, you as a person, should be ok. Your health and well being are always most important. Don't ever give that away. Your big house, your fancy car, or even your bank account, you can get those back with hard work and dedication. Those things are not what matters. Especially when you're chasing dreams. If those are your dreams, DREAM BIGGER. God will test you and so will the world. Let Him push all those things in your heart to the side so He can really see what's in there. And if your wishes or desires line up with His plan, that's even better. So get ready. Can I get an amen on this train? I'll say it first. AMEN!
