Nothing Beats a Kindness

A kindness is anything you do without some kind of personal gain. Sure, it can feel good but that's the point. You aren't getting anything out of it. Yet our benevolent Creator had the grace and foresight to hardwire us that way.

Kindness can be sort of elusive sometimes. You see, just because someone asks for something doesn't mean it's exactly what they need. And it doesn't mean they won't accept other forms of kindness either. Sometimes kindness looks you right in the face and you get offended. Kindness is about our shared experience. And that's a fact.

Nothing beats a kindness. Not even Mike Tyson. He might have bitten Evander Holyfields ear off in a match once. But these days even he's opened up to kindness. Tough guys are usually the kindest. I mean, what are you going to do? Pick a fight with the biggest looking bloke in the place because he's too nice for you?

Kindness has a special place in this life because it guides you from one place to another. It teaches you to look for opportunities and how to recognize them. It's a teaching and guiding tool for those in the know. And when you witness it you go ahead and do something kind too. It's supposed to be contagious. Like a yawn, not a cold.

The contagious nature I'm referring to is a ploy. But not by liberals, or radicals, or Democrats. By God himself. And I'm not delving into politics. But when the narrative around kindness in the media is that it's some foreign extremist idea, God isn't too thrilled. Especially when your reasoning is some type of gains. Kindness is a fact of life and you better get used to it.

Your favorite tough guy,

The Torchbearer
